Who these terms cover

These terms apply to your use of Homecode, the website published at sortmyhouse.co.uk. Homecode is the public name of that site; the domain is its production address. The pages are written for people using the site from the United Kingdom.

What this site is

Homecode publishes evidence, explanations and cautious tools. A page may show a published record, a worked example or a pre-screen. That material is here to help you ask a better question of a qualified person, not to stand in for that person.

What this site is not

Nothing on this site is a professional inspection, survey, valuation, design, specification or safety certificate. Nothing on this site is an offer, a quotation or a contract to carry out work. Displayed figures are not a price at which anyone has agreed to do a job for you.

Official datasets can be incomplete, out of date or wrong for the property in front of you. Where a record is missing, Homecode leaves it missing. You should not treat silence, an “unavailable” state or a modelled figure as proof that a risk is absent.

Safety-critical work
