How should you choose draught seals?
A reversible seal may suit a confirmed unwanted gap only when ventilation, drainage, fire and escape functions remain intact.

How to choose
- Match the seal profile and stated gap range to an opening that remains sound, closes, latches and operates normally.
- Check the substrate, adhesive or fixing method, removability, temperature range and cleaning instructions.
- Identify trickle vents, air bricks, drainage slots, fire-door details, escape functions and combustion-air openings before selecting any location.

- Do not seal an opening while its ventilation, combustion, drainage or fire function is uncertain.
- Water ingress, decay, loose glazing, frame movement, a damaged seal or persistent condensation needs investigation rather than another surface strip.
