How should you choose temperature and humidity logging?
Room loggers can record local temperature and humidity trends, but they do not measure wall moisture or identify a damp cause.

How to choose
- Compare stated accuracy across the expected room range, response time and the manufacturer's placement guidance.
- Check logging interval, memory, clock handling, battery life and whether missing readings are visible.
- Prefer usable raw-data history without unnecessary household data leaving the device; check account, retention and export terms.
What it cannot establish
- One value, threshold or room comparison cannot establish condensation, a leak, rising damp, ventilation compliance or occupant fault.
- Persistent damp, mould or conflicting patterns still need a cause-based building and ventilation assessment.
